How do I decide which retreat package is right for me?

That’s where our retreat specialists come in. With so many different modalities to choose from, it’s important to speak with someone who knows the practitioners, knows what they offer, and has personally experienced the sessions. We’ll ask a lot of questions to determine the exact sessions and practitioners that are right for you.

Will I be in a group workshop setting?

se are PRIVATE SESSIONS meaning that unless you are on a couple’s retreat or are going through the retreat with a friend, all of your sessions will be one-on-one with the practitioner.

How long should I plan to stay?

Plan to stay a minimum of four days, excluding travel time. Most guests traveling to Hawaii are on an 8 day itinerary that consists of two travel days, four days of sessions, and two free days. If you would like a more profound transformative experience, we can arrange retreats up to 14 days in length. It really depends on your goals!

When is the best time to visit Hawaii?

Any time! In fact, the weather is one of the best things about being here.

How much does it cost?

There is no set price. Each retreat is a personalized package designed exclusively for the client. We will quote a price once we’ve put together a proposed itinerary based on your individual goals. Private retreat experiences of 4 – 5 days will usually range between $2,480 and $6,250 depending on the length and exact sessions you choose to include. Meals, accommodations, and travel expenses are not included.

Where are you located?

Our Maui retreats take place in the towns of Makawao and Haiku.

Do I need to rent a car?

Yes. There is a bus system but having a car is infinitely more convenient.

Where will I stay?

If you’d like us to book your accommodations, we have many options ranging from hand-picked vacation rentals ranging from $89 a night for a studio to $150 a night for a cottage or stay at a world class retreat center or 5-star resort ranging anywhere from $399 and up.
Maui also has many options on bed and breakfasts and vacation rentals to stay near The Sacred Garden where many of your sessions will take place and where you can seek silence, serenity and peace. We aim to book you close to the garden for convenience while going through your retreat.

What should I bring?

Some items will depend on your preferences, of course, but here are some items that are always useful:

  • Comfortable light weight hiking shoes
  • A journal to write in
  • Sunglasses
  • Wide-brimmed hat
  • Water bottle
  • Light jacket (The temperature “upcountry” on Maui is about 10 degrees cooler than sea level (60 – 80 degrees). If you plan on hiking Haleakala or going up for sunrise, it can be quite cold up there. A heavier jacket would be wise.
  • Bathing suit (there are great beaches on both Maui)
  • An open heart and a willingness to make lasting changes
  • Definitely bring a camera!

Can I bring my partner?

Yes! We’ll be happy to design a special couples retreat for the two of you.

Can I bring a friend?

While it’s usually best to come alone and focus exclusively on you — away from all distractions — if your friend is in the same mindset and also taking a retreat, many guests have told us that the resulting synergy gave them a more profound experience.

Can I bring a pet?

No. The State of Hawaii has a strict quarantine program for arriving animals that will keep your pet locked up until long after you’re gone. Therefore, bringing your pet is absolutely not an option.

Will I have time on my own?

You will be involved in retreat sessions approximately 4 – 6 hours per day, leaving you plenty of time to journal, shop, hike or just relax and take it easy. Also, we always recommend that at least one free day be included in your itinerary.

How far in advance do I need to make reservations?

We need a minimum of 5 business days from the time you make your deposit. Most people book their retreat reservations 2 weeks in advance. To make absolutely certain lodging is available you’ll want to book at least 3 – 4 weeks in advance. There is a $100 expediting fee if you book your reservation less than 10 days in advance.
But… if you really need to come immediately, go ahead and give us a call. We can often work miracles with just a few days notice.

How do I make a reservation?

Once we have your itinerary the way you like it and you are ready to book your retreat, give us a call. We will ask for a 50% deposit so as to reserve the practitioners and accommodations. The balance will be due upon arrival.
